COMMISIONS
Interested in a custom pet portrait? Here’s everything you need to know!
Subjects
As the name suggests, I paint pets (no humans, sorry)! However, I can paint any animal, and I specialize in painting portraits that are up close and personal in order to capture the personality and soul of the subject. I prefer to paint one animal per canvas, however, I will happily respond to requests for multiple animals.
Materials
I work with oil paint on stretched canvas of varying sizes. Once paintings are touch-dry (within 1-2 weeks of completion), they are coated with a protective varnish and left to dry for another 5-7 days before transporting or shipping.
Pricing
Several factors can influence the pricing of a commission, so I personally respond to each inquiry with a quote and estimated turnaround time before any commitment is made. To help you know what to expect, below are starting prices by canvas size:
| Canvas Size | Price |
| 2 x 2* | $40 |
| 3 x 3* | $60 |
| 4 x 4 | $80 |
| 5 x 7 | $100 |
| 8 x 10 | $200 |
| 9 x 12 | $300 |
| 11 x 14 | $400 |
| 14 x 18 | $500 |
| 16 x 20 | $600 |
| 18 x 24 | $700 |
| Other | Request Quote |
Price includes frame for 5×7 and larger.
* 2×2 and 3×3 portraits can be made into magnets or ornaments at no extra cost, but price may increase for additional modifications and other special requests.
50% of the quoted price is due before any work is commenced. The remaining fee is due at completion before shipping or delivery.
Timing
Turnaround time for a custom portrait will vary depending on the length of the order waitlist (if applicable), complexity of the image, size of the canvas, or other factors. Submit an inquiry below to receive a personal response including a price quote and estimated turnaround time.
